Tired.. Just back from a 2,5 mile walk in the Bryce Canyon NP. Very beautifull. Maricris absolutely wanted to walk down so we did.. so a heavy walk up to the starting point.. But it was woth doing it !

Wow, what a day. We left Page around 7:30 am already and as we were heading to Utah and crossing the state border, it was directly a hour later. We met some nice US people on the way to the park. Actually, I was asking them what to do if you drive into a deer ! Because that's what happened 30 minutes earlier.. Not too us luckily, but to the car in front of us. We didn't saw the car hitting the deer but we did saw the car heavily hitting the breaks, and we saw the deer just next to us , when we passed. It wasn't dead but struggling to get up again, and trying to get off the road. Marcris saw it was bleading so we were both a bit shocked as we didn't stopped (none of us is a vet, not even close..)

We're staying at the Ruby's Inn, just a mile outside the park. Tomorrow we suppose to leave early again as we want to visit Zion before we are driving further towards the Sin City, Las Vegas. It seems the temp there is now 115 F !!

July 8th - Leaving the Grand Canyon

July 8th

sunny 25 °C

8:30 am and back online in the lobby of the Maswick Lodge. It seems that no WLAN connectivity is available at the lodges here in the Grand Canyon National Park . So we made, we've seen it and it was absolutely AMAZING, ENDLESSLY, HUGE. Impossible to compare with anything else. A absolute must-seen place, more then anything else.

As my pictures with the new Panasonic Lumix 10x zoom are now about 5 MB each, I will not upload them at this time.
Before we went to the Grand Canyon NP , we stopped at Sunset Crater NP and the Wupatki NP, very nice also with ruines from the Indians.
We also went the the IMAX at Tusyan for the Grand Canyon movie, a good alternative for the expensive helicopter ride (230 USD pp)
So we are leaving now to Page and Lake Powell.

ps For those who are reading this stuff, please sent me a reaction. It's my first blog and I am really interested in improving the storyline so any constructive comments are welcome.
